TB2S Diesel Heater Toolbox 2s, 6L APP Control Upgraded

Overall a good unit, but it took an additional $119 of amazon parts to bring it up to a functional state I could trust. Read reviews out there an replaced fuel line, added insulation over fuel line, moved fuel pump, added petcock, rerouted the wire harness to the display (hole thru side wall isn't large enough to pass both ends of the wiring harness thru), relocated the screen so it isn't behind the air intake, installed a silicone 90deg 4" adapter on heater output and installed a 4" quality 2 layer hose, modified exhaust so it won't waggle in the wind and fatigue the exhaust port, added caps to keep out bugs and water, added something to hold duct hose in a nice bundle, picked up a case for all of the spare parts and accessories, added some material around the filler neck so that spilled diesel won't run into the unit, etc...So like everyone says, plan to upgrade before first use.
From looking at the TB Max design I think Hcalory fixed several of these issues, but not being able to quickly open up the housing where there is potentially spilling diesel fuel is a deal breaker for me. The tool box door opens nicely and gives excellent access to interior.
Once upgraded, it primed without issue, fired up and ran great on Premium Diesel on a 2 deg F night here in WI. Night started around 25 deg. Ended up at 2deg by 7 am. Kept roof top tent without insulation toasty all night with plenty of diesel to spare.(Not enough for 2 nights without refill.) Wired controller worked great.
Negatives: HCalory didn't ship my wireless controller. Each time I reach out they are very responsive, it's just out of stock.
And the wire protectors for the screen are very stiff in the cold. Does not want to bend. That is very minor. I'm happy with it!

This heater works incredibly! It was super easy to set up and is very fuel efficient.

This is not your average camping heater. It’s more than enough for the family camping trips but also has advance features for permanent installations. The you can create scenes, timers and adjust altitude in the app. The control panel acts like a house thermostat. The TB2S had no annoying ticking sound. Enjoying it so far.

Used the new tb2s for 5 days 8-10hrs a night still a lot of diesel left in the tank worked perfectly well on freezing temperatures as well very quite low power consumption and compact definitely recommend!
